Local file storage

MailGen stores message bodies, attachments, and imported source files in its local SeaweedFS/S3 store. The store belongs to one Compose instance. A new store is empty. Copying another installation's database does not copy its objects.

Use the runtime commands for normal start and stop. Stop preserves the volume. Restart does not restore a complete data backup.

If message metadata exists but the body or attachment is missing, ask the operator to check the selected store, bucket, and object reference. Correct the connection instead of deleting the database or volume.

Environment configuration controls storage credentials. Do not include them in problem reports.
