Initial Gmail mailbox import

After you connect Gmail through Google mailbox setup, a background worker imports the mailbox. It stores messages, attachments, labels, and available contacts under the connected mailbox's local identity.

The import uses durable checkpoints and a lease that gives one worker temporary processing ownership. After restart, retained state supports continuation. A running worker does not prove a completed import. Search readiness is a separate milestone.

Bodies and attachments live in object storage. The database alone is not a full backup. Preserve the objects and appropriate keys when moving a deployment. See key behavior for owner-encrypted content.

After import, history and push handle later changes. The progress contract explains the state shown by the application.
