Initial import progress

Initial Gmail import includes inventory, download, local storage, projection, and search readiness. The application shows persisted processing evidence. Connect the mailbox through Google setup first.

Worker activity and elapsed time do not equal a completed message count. An unknown total cannot produce a reliable percentage. Import completion and search readiness are separate observations.

Continuous history/push health also differs from initial-import completion. Inspect the Gmail sync progress view for new-message tracking. For a stalled phase, retain the import ID and use import diagnostics.
