Manage saved workspaces from chat

Open Complexity and select an owned connected mailbox. Workspace tools need a MailGen license, their separate group grants, and chat selection. The underlying operation uses its own settings.workspaces.* permission.

ToolAction
listOwnWorkspacesLists ID, name, revision, and active ID.
createOwnWorkspaceCreates an empty default snapshot with an ID derived from run/tool identity. Retrying the same call creates no duplicate.
renameOwnWorkspaceRenames only against the observed revision.
activateOwnWorkspaceChecks the observed active ID before changing selection.
deleteOwnWorkspaceProposes deletion and requires separate browser approval.

The agent sees summary metadata, not draft content. Tools accept neither user/account identity nor arbitrary snapshots from the model. Actor/account checks and workspaceTransaction row locks preserve the shared settings record.

Approval of deleteOwnWorkspace requires the run to use an active, owned, verified Microsoft mailbox binding. See Microsoft Graph setup. This approval restriction does not make all workspace tools Microsoft-only.

Before deletion, review the source workspace, destination workspace, and count of transferred drafts. The proposal hash binds the full source snapshot, destination ID/revision/composer set, and active workspace ID. The server checks current rights, license, grant, and ownership again at approval.

The single-use approval receipt and removeWorkspace update commit in the same PostgreSQL transaction. A retry after BFF failure returns the same operation ID. Changed source or destination needs a fresh approval.

Workspaces live in msintegrationv2.mailgen_user_settings.settings.workspaces. Actor IDs, workspace IDs, revisions, snapshots, and active ID remain stable. Browser and agent update the same record. Any retained legacy BetterAuth JSON is not a live copy and does not receive new writes. See settings ownership.
