Read and change saved layouts from chat

Select your owned mailbox in Complexity and enable the layout tools. readOwnWorkspaceLayout needs settings.workspaces.read. updateOwnWorkspaceLayout needs settings.workspaces.layout.update. Both need separate grants, chat selection, and a current MailGen license.

Update accepts exact workspaceId and expectedRevision. actorWorkspaceTransaction locks the same settings row as human saves. Only supplied settings and panel fields change. Destination, selection, scroll state, and composer references remain intact.

The tool does not change shared language/theme, mailbox, messages, or drafts. A stale revision returns WORKSPACE_CONFLICT. Retrying the exact patch does not increment the revision again.

Omitted settings retain their current values. The schema removes defaults from optional canonical fields rather than applying omitted defaults. Nested sidebar/pane objects require complete explicit values. Panel patches accept at most 64 keys, each at most 128 characters. Percentages range from 0 through 100.

Read output contains layout data, at most 64 panels, and hasMorePanelSlots. Draft, selection, and destination references stay outside model output. Full snapshot changes, composer transfers, and navigation changes need separate canonical actions.

Inspect the resulting saved layout. After a conflict, reread it before another update. See workspace management and saved window snapshots.
